A new system of version numbers

I decided on a new version number scheme:
Generally, the version number will look like this:

MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH-Name

Where Major and minor defines the feature set, and patch define a bugfix release.
no new features will be added inside the same major.minor pair.

for example, the recent 1.0.0-RC1 and 1.0.1-RC2, have major.minor pair of 1.0, both have the same feature set (as well as 1.0.2, 1.0.3 etc). the only changes here will be bug fixes.
the new 1.1.0 version will add more features, and again will start a new patch line (1.1.1, 1.1.2 etc).

RC1, RC2 etc are simply names, in this case RC1 stands for release candidate 1.
Thats about it.
